lunch beneath the Eiffel tower
We made our reservation at Les Ombres about 3 months in advance and we went for lunch… which was hardly lunch. We ended up doing wine and a cheese platter because honestly the portions were tiny and we were hungry from walking all day soo wine and French cheese it was!
Very happy we got this though because I would have never thought to pair a creamy cheese with fresh ginger! I ended up recreating this platter when we got home - plant based and all.
I wouldn’t say Les Ombres is a must in Paris but it’s definitely a one of a kind way to see the Eiffel tower. This is also all on the account of a nice day too, it just wouldn’t be the same experience if you had to sit inside.
We spent the morning walking and sightseeing so we were not wearing fancy clothes and almost did not get seated. They told Philip he had to have pants and a collared shirt on but they ended up seating us anyway.
I mean… this view is unbeatable. Like I said, not a MUST in Paris but definitely a fun way to lunch! Let me know if you’ve been or if you know of another restaurant that has a similar view!
