Paris, Paris, Paris… I love Paris and could easily go once a year. Every alley and street is filled with something - wonder in and out of museums, cafes, markets, boutique shops, pastry shops and gardens. There is just SO much to do and see. I’d say one of my favorite parts about Paris is sitting at different cafes and watching the people and activity happening.
Don’t worry, there will be more than one post on Paris because I could talk/think about this city for days...
Where to stay
So, we went to Paris end of April and got unbelievably lucky with the weather. I am talking pure sun and 80 degrees everyday. We stayed in an Airbnb in the 4th arrondissement near the centre de pompidou. Steps away from from the Les Halles stop coming from the airport, which was super convenient. We’re used to taking trains because of living in Chicago so it was pretty easy to figure out and people were also helpful. I will say it is VERY crowded so it can be overwhelming if you’re not used to public transportation.
The location of our Airbnb made it easy to walk everywhere from the Louvre to the gardens of the champs elysse to ile de la cite. Walking and roaming around the city is one of the best ways to see it. Grab a baguette and walk along the Seine River. This city makes it so easy to just wonder or sit on a ledge and just watch every little thing for hours.
