thick banana almond butter smoothie
It has been HOT in Chicago lately, our summer went from literally not having a summer to super hot and humid. But TBH, I am not complaining at all, I love the heat. Since it’s been so hot, I’d just been craving smoothies like even for dinner. I am not usually super full after a smoothie so I’ve been packing them with vegetables and making them super thick.
I love having these thick smoothies post workout too - I switch it up from adding just collagen powder or plant based protein powder for the added boost.
BANANA ALMOND BUTTER SMOOTHIE
1/2 c almond milk, unsweetened vanilla
1 big handful spinach
1 handful frozen cauliflower
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tsp cinnamon
A little honey
2 scoops collagen, @vitalproteins
Blend all ingredients together- start out with 1/2 cup liquid and add more if necessary. I usually end up using a little less than a cup of liquid.
